Janice Ryan Weekes and Isidore Nosike Honored
Celebrated every February in the U.S. and Canada, Black History Month is an important time to remember significant people, events, and achievements of the African diaspora. The 2025 theme is “African Americans and Labor,” highlighting their invaluable contributions to the workforce.
The Worcester Branch of the NAACP recently held its annual Black History Month celebration during which it recognized two regional change makers who have made a significant impact on individuals in and around Worcester by providing job training and helping people earn livable wages: Janice Ryan Weekes and Isidore Nosike.
Ms. Ryan Weekes is Executive Director of the MassHire Central Region Career Centers; Mr. Nosike is Executive Director and owner of the Fieldstone School.
