JVSG Incentive Awards recognize the efforts of an entire MassHire Career Center (not just a Veterans unit or Veterans staff) whose efforts demonstrate improvement and modernization of employment, training, and placement services for Veterans; the reward and celebration of excellence in priority of service; development and delivery of best practice techniques; and improved performance outcomes for Veterans.
- Gold Award: MassHire Metro North Career Centers (Amount: $14,100)
- Silver Award: MassHire South Shore Career Center (Amount: $9,105)
- Bronze Award: MassHire Central Region Career Centers (Amount: $7,105)
- Rising Star: MassHire North Central Career Center (Amount: $3,105)
The Massachusetts JVSG program is funded by a grant from the U.S. DOL Veterans’ Employment and Training Services (VETS). The grant funds the Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) and Local Veterans’ Employment Representative (LVER) positions to assist Veterans. DVOPs work with Veterans who have Significant Barrier(s) to Employment and provide intensive (WIOA Individualized) Veterans’ services to overcome or mitigate those barriers and help Veterans become “job ready.” LVERs work with employers and DVOPs to place job-ready Veterans into employment.
